SENSOR UNCERTAINTY MITIGATION FOR DETECT AND AVOID SYSTEMS

The impact of position- and velocity uncertainty is illustrated in the TCPA-DCPA domain. Following this, Sensor Uncertainty Management (SUM) strategies are presented. To illustrate the performance of a prototype SUM function, baseline alerting performance statistics are provided for two alerting algorithms without SUM that use the bounds of the available trade-space of a DO-365B DAA function
