TRAJECTORY DESIGN FOR ASTEROID SAMPLE RETURN COMBINING BALLISTIC CAPTURE AND AEROBRAKING

A systematic method of constructing low-thrust, low-energy transfers from a near-Earth asteroid to low-Earth orbit with a required inclination is presented, so providing an alternative for asteroid sample return scenarios. Numerical simulations for the transfer from the asteroid 1991 VG to the International Space Station are implemented.
