06.1 - Flight Dynamics and Control (Control & Modelling)DATA-DRIVEN MODEL DISCOVERY AND CONTROL OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE TRAINER AIRCRAFT VIA SPARSE IDENTIFICATION OF NONLINEAR DYNAMICSM.-W. Kang¹, D.-W. Bang²; ¹ADD, South Korea ;²KAIST, South Korea This paper explores the application of Sparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics (SINDy) for discovering the dynamics of a fixed-wing aircraft. The focus is on employing the SINDy technique to estimate aerodynamic coefficients in the context of high-performance turboprop aircraft, specifically focusing on longitudinal motion. The analysis was performed by measurements with uniform random noise situations, and the derivatives were calculated after removing the noise using robust least-square secondary order regression for the sensor noise. The model fidelity and aerodynamic coefficient estimation accuracy for each case were analyzed for the discovered systems by comparing responses of various inputs. |
