ELASTIC/PLASTIC SEMI-ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR ARBITRARY CURVED SURFACES OF SCARF REPAIRED COMPOSITES

The stress distribution calculating and optimizing method for arbitrary shape adhesive layer of scarf repaired composites proposed in this paper is more accurate than previous semi-analytical methods. And the optimization algorithm could significantly improve the carrying capability of scarf repaired composite laminates, which provides an efficient way to evaluate and aid design of scarf repair.
