05 - PropulsionEXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF A SWIRL-STABILIZED JET ENGINE COMBUSTORB.O. Cakir¹, D. Sanned¹, P. Vauquelin¹, M. Prakash¹, J.-P. Hannappel¹, A. Subash¹, M. Richter¹, X.-S. Bai¹, C. Fureby¹; ¹Lund University, Sweden Achieving lower global emission levels in aviation demands alternative fuels to be developed. This necessitates the characterization of thermochemical properties and combustion characteristics. Accordingly, The Triple Annular Research Swirler burner, which simulates aeroengines combustors, is employed for experimental and numerical investigations of non-reactive and reactive flows dynamics. |
