An educational and research approach for a systematic conceptual design of a 6th generation air combat system is presented including, ethical aspects, technoogies like stealth, variable wing sweep, canards, different mission scenarios, simultaneous balanced function allocation and design of manned and unmanned systems. Design of 8 different concepts; assessment of commercial tool capabilities.
