FUEL STARVATION CAUSED BY HUB CLOSURE

The sudden closure of a hub airport can lead to a large number of aircraft diverting to nearby airports. Due to the low capacity of alternate airports, fuel starvation can occur if the number of diverting flights is high. This work intends to assess this scenario.
