STRUCTURAL CONSTRAINTS INVESTIGATION IN WING AERODYNAMIC/STRUCTURAL OPTIMIZATION

In this paper, four ways of introducing stress constraints in wing optimization are compared in reducing weight and computation time, which are: (1) the full-stress optimization; (2) only the maximum stress is constrained; (3) all of the stress constraints are cumulated into one constraint via KS function; (4) directly considering all of the stress constraints in the optimization.
