OPTIMAL APPROACH AND DEPARTURE TRAJECTORIES WITH ACOUSTIC FOOTPRINT ASSESSMENT FOR AN AIR MOBILITY QUAD-ROTOR

A methodology is proposed to calculate the noise footprint of optimal trajectories of AAM aircraft using low-order aero-acoustic models. The trajectories are globally optimal in the sense of classic operational cost metrics and are subject to realistic performance constraints. The noise footprint is calculated with a low-order method and compared across different maneuver strategies.
