AERO-THERMAL ANALYSIS OF A REUSABLE LAUNCH VEHICLE DURING RE-ENTRY MANOEUVRER

This work focuses on the evaluation of thermal loads during the descent of a single stage reusable launcher, which decelerates via retro-propulsion: in detail, numerical computations of the thermo-fluid dynamic field will be carried out using the CFD++ software of METACOMP, that applies a conjugate heat transfer approach (CHT) to couple the fluid-dynamic thermal field with the solid thermal one.
