04.1 - Aerospace Grade Materials, Structural Analysis, Fatigue and Damage ToleranceEFFECT OF INFILL STYLE AND DENSITY ON SELECTED MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF THE CARBON FIBRE REINFORCED ABS MFD FILAMENTM. Mucha¹, D. Sikorski, 41st Training Air Base, Poland; R. Szczepaniak¹, R. Babel¹, A. Krzyzak¹, T. Zahorski¹; ¹Polish Air Force University, Poland The FDM 3D printer was used to produce the samples from carbon-reinforced ABS filament. Four different infill styles with different infill densities were used. The results of tensile and flexural tests show that for both ABS and ABS-CF, strength and stiffness increase with infill density. Compared to neat ABS, the ABS-CF significantly increases strength and modulus of elasticity. |
