DESIGN OPTIMIZATION OF A WIG CRAFT’S HIGH LIFT DEVICE CONSIDERING GROUND EFFECT

The purpose is to address the problem of decreased lift in the flap when near the ground and propose a flap design optimization method with consideration of ground effect. The conventional design method, which doesn’t consider ground effect, has lift reduction when near the ground. On the other hand, the designed flap considering ground effect has higher lift and achieves a 25% increase.
