RESEARCH ON OPTIMAL TORSIONAL DEFORMATION OF FLAPPING WING

J. Liu¹, D. Xue¹; ¹School of Aeronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China

By studying the effects of heave and pitch amplitudes of the two-dimensional airfoil at different wind speeds and frequencies on lift, thrust, and propulsive efficiency, we can further summarize common trends in flexible flapping wings of different sizes. The research will provide further guidance for the flexible design of biomimetic micro air vehicles with flapping wings.
