NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION ON THE EFFECT OF REYNOLDS NUMBER ON TANDEM DROPLET

In aircraft engines, the existence of droplet clusters directly affect the aerodynamic performance of the engine through gas-liquid interactions. Present work reveals the mechanism of tandem droplet interaction and proposes a time evolution function to predict the ratio of leading and trailing droplet cross-stream diameters under different Reynolds number, Weber number and relative distance.rn
