OVERVIEW OF FACTORS RELATED TO AIRCRAFT OPERATION ASSOCIATED WITH A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT

This paper presents the overview of the state of the science regarding factors related to aircraft operation that are associated with a negative impact on the environment as of early 2024. It lists the current status of science and remaining uncertainties as well as measures that have been lately undertaken to overcome aviation’s unfavourable effect on our planet.
