Blanco Garde¹, F. Mews¹, J. Jokinen¹, N. Pournoori¹, M. Kanerva¹; ¹Tampere University, Finland Surface treatments are necessary for durable adhesive bonds either within aircraft assembly or repair bonding during service engineering. This study focuses on comparing effects of environment (ambient versus hot-wet) on adhesive bond strength when carbon fibre-reinforced composite surface has been qualified by contact angle measurements. The results indicate that conditioning is beneficial. |
