A Ti64 alloy was employed for electron beam processing to produce surface textures efficient for fluid-drag reduction. The as-resulted surface was characterized by parallel ridges and grooves. The near-surface was occupied by fusion zone, heat-affected zone and base metal. Processed wing models exhibits a reducing efficiency over 15%.
