Enea²; ¹Embraer S.A., Brazil ;²Politecnico di Torino, Italy This work proposes the use of progressive failure analysis to conceive new strain allowable curves to be used in aeroelastic tailoring of composite wing design. The allowable curves are generated by simulating coupons whose layup sequence may not fulfil some of the standard design rules. This allows us to explore different stacking sequences whose experimental testing would be unaffordable. |
