Statistics based estimation methods for preliminary system sizing are limited in covering multifunctional flight control systems (FCS) with load alleviation function.rnWe demonstrate and examine improved system analysis methods for FCS of future aircraft, that enable evaluation of mass and power implications caused by increased functional extent on the example of the DLR-internal project oLAF.
