AIRCRAFT WING STRUCTURAL SIZING COMPUTATIONAL TOOL TAILORED FOR A COLLABORATIVE MULTIDISCIPLINARY DESIGN FRAMEWORK

P.F. Albuquerque¹, A.M.P. Silva¹, A. Pereira¹; ¹CEiiA, Portugal

This article presents two innovative tools, WinG3N and WingSizer, designed to streamline the traditional process of hand-made model development for aircraft wings. WinG3N enables the automatic generation of a wing finite element model within seconds. The WingSizer automates the sizing process for static and buckling analyses.rnIt enables benchmark studies between metallic and composite structures.
