Transonic wing design involves challenges related to the complex physical phenomena associated with this flow regime. rnAdjoint-based shape optimization is the choice to perform aerodynamic shapernoptimization (ASO) of transonic wings. We investigate solverrnstrategies for both analysis and optimization steps to perform robust transonic wingrnoptimization.
