STUDY ON THE BALLISTIC-RESISTANT AIRWORTHINESS STANDARDS FOR COMMERCIAL AIRCRAFT COCKPIT DOOR

Based on comparative analysis on gun bullet penetration capabilities from standards, six types of gun bullets and six cockpit-door materials were selected for live-fire testing. The penetration power of various gun bullets on different materials was ranked through tests and analysis. Further, suggestions were provided for airworthiness compliance methods of commercial aircraft anti-hijacking door.
