Dynamic ground loads on aircraft components due to maneuvers such as landing and taxi are traditionally computed using finite element or proprietary dynamics codes. This paper presents an alternative general purpose multi-body dynamics based approach that provides a platform for seamless integration of multi-disciplinary aircraft sub-systems for ground loads computation.
