This paper focuses on ontology development for the aerospace composite manufacturing domain. It uses the METHONTOLOGY development methodology to arrive at a formally valid ontology, which is tested for practical validity in a case study focusing on construction of an architecture for a knowledge management solution for an aerospace OEM.
