The paper presents 3-D simulations over a trapezoidal wing with a single slotted flap and a slat, and over typical wing-body configurations representative of commercial airliners. Different mesh methodologies such as overset, structured and hybrid unstructured-structured meshes are evaluated to define guidelines in order to best capture the aerodynamic coefficients.
