The CleanSky “Smart-Fixed-Wing-Aircraft Integrated Technology Demonstrator” (SFWA-ITD) is aiming to deliver a mature all new low drag “Smart Wing” and to demonstrate the integration of new energy efficient engine concepts like the Contra-Rotating-Open-Rotor (CROR) for large commercial transport aircraft. Both technologies shall be tested in large scale flight tests.
