EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE LASER PLASMA JET PROPULSION - PLASMA JET GENERATION AND THRUST MEASUREMENT

Plasma generation and thrust measurement were carried out to realize a new electric aircraft propulsion system using plasma. As a result of the experiments, we succeeded in generating air plasma at atmospheric pressure and in vacuum. We also measured a slight increase in thrust due to the plasma. These new propulsion systems have the potential to significantly reduce the weight of aircraft.
