IMPACT OF MOTION-DEPENDENT ERRORS ON THE ACCURACY OF AN UNAIDED STRAPDOWN INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM

K. Borodacz¹, C. Szczepanski¹; ¹Lukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Aviation, Poland

This paper presents motion-dependent components of the total navigational error for a particular maneuvers, obtained from the analysis of the full inertial measurement unit model. These components can be arbitrarily combined to analyze the relationship between sensor measurement errors and navigation errors for the considered trajectory, which supports the selection of the optimal IMU.
