The idea of this concept is to modify the linear properties of wing structures to influence the lift distribution for load alleviation. rnThis work demonstrates the nonlinear elastic characteristics of a wing composed of foam material (EPP) in a wind tunnel test campaign. The degressive nonlinear elastic stiffness reduces the root bending moment of the wing.rn
