TESTING AND MODELLING OF A DUCTED FAN MOTOR FOR UAV APPLICATIONS

This paper presents a process to generate numerical models of electric ducted fans for a flying demonstrator. A testbed was built and integrated into a data acquisition system to perform static and dynamic wind tunnel tests. The resultant motor model has a high correlation with the measured data and it is easy to integrate into the UAV flight dynamics model.
