Urban Air Mobility (UAM) vehicles are more exposed to bird strike, being relatively small and expected to fly at low altitudes where birds are more abundant. This study quantifies the consequences of collisions between birds and UAM vehicles, analyses the influence of bird- and aircraft-related parameters on the resulting forces and derives recommendations on UAM bird strike requirements.
