Accurate simulation of asymmetrical vortex flow over slender missile at high angle of attack is crucial for predicting the aerodynamic characteristics of the missile. A novel high-order scheme (we call it WENO-K) proposed by our research group is employed to simulate the unsteady supersonic viscous flows dominated by asymmetrical vortices over a Sparrow III type missile model with IDDES method.rn
