THE INFLUENCE OF THE VANE LEAN ON THE FLOW IN A TURBINE REAR STRUCTURE

This paper presents a detailed comparison of the aerodynamics of two engine realistic Turbune Rear Structures (TRS), one with radial Outlet Guide Vanes (OGVs) and one with leaned OGVs. The effect of the OGV lean is studied for the first time in an engine realistic TRS with implemented regular, thick and bump OGVs typical for the modern TRS.
