An experimental investigation of the Boundary-Layer Ingestion effects of a next-generation commercial airliner is presented. The aircraft integrates a box-wing layout with rear located engines. The importance of reducing wasted kinetic energy in the combined wake and jet flow, which leads to lower propulsive power is highlighted.
