ECONOMICS OF SUSTAINABLE REGIONAL AIR MOBILITY

Study presents a novel simple sizing method for 4 different architectures of propulsionrnsystems which include parallel and series hybrids, hydrogen fuel cell and finally fully electric retrofits.rnPerformance is analysed on a typical regional mission and shows that parallel retrofits are able tornsave up to 20% in fuel. The hydrogen retrofit hasrnthe greatest improvement in operating costs.
