CFD TAKE-OFF ANALYSIS OF A SEAPLANE HULL THROUGH A DYNAMIC MULTIPHASE MODEL

The analysis provides the aerodynamic behavior in take-off of the hulls of the seaplane Savoia-Marchetti S55-X model aircraft, built by the student team “Team S55”. The analytical results, in terms of velocity and pressure field, trust and drag coefficient changes, are compared with experimental data collected by NASA through the S55-X tank test registered in the Technical note no.635.
