NUMERICAL STUDY ON WATER DISPLACEMENT DRAG CHARACTERISTICS OF AIRCRAFT ELASTIC TIRE ON CONTAMINATED RUNWAYS

In this paper, a numerical study is carried out on the water displacement drag characteristics of aircraft elastic tire on contaminated runways. The SPH and the FEM are applied to numerically simulate the fluid-structure interaction between the tire and water. A simplified model for estimating water displacement drag is established by quantitative analysis.
