INNOONBOARD FOR IMPROVED IMAGE HANDLING IN AIRBORNE COASTAL RECONNAISSANCE – A PROJECT PRESENTATION

Air reconnaissance gives huge image data volumes, with data downlinks hard pressed to keep up. A way to solve this is to decrease the amount of data at source, i.e to de-select low-interest data already on board. Another way is to select important data for priority download. INNOONBOARD combines both methods, creating an on-board image data management system for coastal reconnaissance aircraft.
