ANALYSIS OF THE OPERATION OF THE PULSEJET ENGINE

Simulations of a pulsejet were used to vizualize important processes.rnrnA simplified model was used to explicitly control the combustion - in the sense of how fast, and at what time in the pulse the fuel/air-mixture was burnt. Simulations of this kind revealed that the specific impulse can be significantly increased (our studies indicated an increase of 200%) by proper control of the combustion.
