Different parameters relevant for three-dimensional flapping tandem-wing aerodynamics have been studied, notably the sweeping amplitude, asymmetry of sweeping amplitude. As the sweep amplitude of the FW and HW increases equally, the mean lift increases at the cost of power decrease. The mean lift of the fore and hing wings with unequal sweeping amplitude is always worse than that of the same one.
