Autonomous air combat (AAC) has been a lasting topic for decades. Back to 1960s, NASA proposed the adaptive maneuvering logic (AML) algorithm, which laid the basis for later AAC techniques including the TGRES in 1990s, the game matrix, and most recently the AlphaDogfight hosted by DARPA. Other lines of the AAC researches also include the trial input, the influence diagram-based schemes, the approximate dynamic programming, and the generic fuzzy tree.
