A LOCAL CORRELATION-BASED ALGEBRAIC TRANSITION MODEL WITH COMPRESSIBILITY AND CROSSFLOW CORRECTION

The algebraic SA-BCM model is more cost-friendly and faster than the conventional ?-type local-correlation laminar-turbulent transition model. This paper adds compressibility and cross-flow corrections to the SA-BCM model to provide an efficient method for the transition prediction and laminar drag reduction of subsonic swept-wing aircraft that contribute to energy saving and emission reduction.
