LEARNING FLIGHT CONTROL SKILLS BY IMITATING EXPERT DEMONSTRATIONS

R. Takase, The University of Tokyo, Japan

In this paper, the optimal control policy is obtained by imitating expert demonstrations. In the first step of our study, the basic performance of imitation learning is investigated on the aircraft landing control task. The numerical experiments show that the controller obtained by imitation learning performs comparably to the expert. Now we focus on imitation learning from human expert demonstrations via pilotin-the-loop simulations. The results of flight controller design by imitating human pilots will be shown in the full paper and the ICAS2021 congress.
