This paper presents the hovering modeling and control of Beihawk, a 1.2kg X-shape flapping wing aircraft, which is capable of vertical takeoff and landing. The first contribution is to propose an unsteady model, which can be easily incorporated into dynamic model. The second contribution is to propose a tail model considering flapping-wing induced flow and design controller based on this model.
