AN OVERVIEW OF FLARE TECHNIQUES AND FLARE TRAINING METHODS

Most popular flare techniques are presented as `every time right' `perfect landing' methods, without discussing their suitability or limitations for specific situations. Others simply geometrical relationships, and lack human factors and aircraft dynamics considerations. We provide an overview of flare techniques and explain their strengths and weaknesses. We also provide training suggestions.
