A NEW METHOD FOR ESTIMATING THE THERMOS-PHYSICAL PARAMETERS OF THERMAL PROTECTION MATERIALS BY ULTRASONIC MEASUREMENTS

To nondestructively and rapidly determine thermophysical parameters of thermal protection materials, a method consisting of ultrasonic pulse-echo measurements and an inverse analysis of heat conduction is presented. It can estimate the functions of thermal conductivity and specific heat, regardless of the waveform of those functions even without a priori information on the kind of dependence concerned.
