PROTOTYPE WHIRL TOWER FOR TESTING INSOLATED ROTOR SYSTEMS IN HOVER

The paper discusses a prototype - Whirl Tower - test stand designed for testing rotors in the conditions of work at their nominal speed, in particular gyrocopter and helicopter rotors. The paper provides the main assumptions of the project, design steps, calculations, construction manufacturing and Whirl Tower systems test.
