STALL PREDICTION OF AIRCRAFT WITH ADAPTIVE HYBRID MESH

Stall prediction is a vital mission for CFD whose accuracy can be directly affected by mesh. In this paper, a robust adaptation method for hybrid unstructured mesh was developed to dynamically optimize the mesh. Then the separated flows over a fly-wing were simulated. A significant accuracy improvement can be achieved with mesh adaptation, which increases the mesh resolution near the vortices.
