UNSTEADY FLOW SIMULATION AROUND MAIN LANDING GEAR USING HIERARCHICAL CARTESIAN GRID METHOD WITH IMMERSED BOUNDARY METHOD

Unsteady flow around a main landing gear model is simulated using the hierarchical Cartesian grid based compressible Navier-Stokes flow solver using immersed boundary method for high Reynolds number flow simulation. The computed results are compared with the wind tunnel experimental data provided by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, to investigate complex flow field around the landing gear.
