TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT WING INVESTIGATIONS AIMED ON WAKE VORTEX IMPACT BY OSCILLATING FLAPS

The paper provides a novel approach combining modern system components to achieve two different effects with one mechanism of action. On the one hand, an increase of the maximum lift (decrease structural weight) is desired and on the other hand, the excitation of wake vortex instabilities to reduce the separation distances between aircraft by means of inversely oscillating flaps is of importance.
